White Globe successfully helped Apple in localizing its new model manuals by providing high-quality translation services. Here is how the project unfolded:

  1. Apple shared the source files in PDF and AI format with White Globe.
  2. White Globe assigned a dedicated project manager for coordination and status updates.
  3. White Globe followed its proven 12D process to upload the files for production. The files went through all the steps integrated into its TMS project system.
  4. White Globe’s engineers worked on converting the PDF files to editable format and preparing the terminology for approval from Apple. The approved terminology was imported as a glossary into White Globe’s internal system. The team also processed the DNT sheet provided by Apple, which contained terms that needed to be kept in English.
  5. White Globe’s engineering and QA team worked on pre-translation prep work and fixed the set of rules for localization as per cultural and market standards.
  6. White Globe provided specific guidelines to linguists who have domain expertise of more than 10 years. These linguists ensured that the content was localized in a linguistically and culturally appropriate way. They considered vocabulary, grammar, punctuation, style, and level of speech to make sure that the language used reflected the target audience’s culture and society.
  7. White Globe started the localization process and shared the daily project status with Apple. Proofreading, reviewing, editing, and QC steps were followed after the localization completion.
  8. White Globe’s DTP team extracted the final localized file and worked on Adobe Illustrator for each regional language.
  9. White Globe’s linguists proofread the final formatted document after DTP work and finalized it.
  10. White Globe shared the final ready-to-print manuals in AI and PDF format with Apple for review and feedback.
